The Marie Curie Excellence Team members
Based in Edinburgh and funded by the EC FP6 Marie Curie grant:
Jenny Tait

Jenny is the leader of this Marie Curie Excellence Team and has been based in Edinburgh University, Scotland  since November 2006.  From 1991-2006 she was based in Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, Germany where she was awarded her Habilitation in Geology and Geophysics in 1999.

Sergei Pisarevsky

Sergei originates from St Petersburg, Russia.  From 2000-2007 he was a research fellow at the Tectonics Special Research Centre at the University of Western Australia. Since February 2007 he has been a senior research fellow in the Marie Curie Excellence Team at Edinburgh University. Sergei's research concentrates on palaeomagnetism and palaeogeography.

Gijs Straathof

Gijs joined the MC Excellence Team as an Early Stage Research Fellow in May 2007 after completing his masters degree at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

Anna Reynolds

Anna is the project administrator.  With a masters degree in modern languages, Anna has worked extensively in the higher education sector.   Anna is the first contact point if you would like more information on the project and the group.

Chris Rowan

Chris joined the team in November 2008 and was previously at the University of Johannesburg. He completed his PhD at the University of South Hampton and has carried out palaeomagnetic research in New Zealand, South Africa and Oman.

Graeme Nicoll

Graeme also joined the team in November 2008 after he just finished his PhD research at Trinity College Dublin. At Trinity he studied the geochemistry of the western Isles of Scotland and is currently focussing on sediment geochemistry and provenance.
